Kochi Metro decides to add value at all stations
A roundtable conference was organized on Tuesday by the Kochi Metro Rail Limited. This meeting focused on the initiatives of property development initiatives. Not just that, views of almost 40 companies was taken into consideration. All these companies belonged to the realty, hospitality and sector of infrastructure.
The Kochi Metro Rail Limited has also spotted certain locales of development of property along the Kochi Metro which is about 25 kilometres long. This one had decided to set up many modern business structures for the purpose of commercial utilisation. This will take up about 17 acres of land and they have taken about 8 major stations.
Kochi Metro Rail Limited has intentions of using these land parcels so that there is enough flow of cash. This will help in supporting the expenditure of capital as well as the operations of the very expensive Metro project.
Elias George, who happens to be the managing director Kochi Metro Rail Limited has said that the meeting has allowed KMRL to understand the needs of the client better. This will help in designing the facilities at the station so that commercial viability has been maximized.
