A different Bangalore promised by BBMP chief
With the garbage crisis all over the city, Rajneesh Goel, Commissioner of the Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BBMP), has promised to create a different Bangalore to the Bench of the Lok Adalat in the coming months.
Goel stated that they are working towards introducing a total garbage disposal mechanism different from all these years. He also said that the problem cannot be solved overnight but will ensure that the city will experience a change in terms of garbage management.
This initiation was made by Goel in return to the question by the Bench, comprising Justice D.V. Shylendra Kumar of the Karnataka High Court and A.N. Yellappa Reddy, Lok Adalat member regarding the storm-water drains (SWD) which were clogged severely and prevented the flow of rainwater to the lakes.
