Affordable Projects lined up in Gurgaon
Gurgaon and Mumbai are the two most important property markets of India. Gurgaon is growing fast in terms of luxurious and premium properties.
Gurgaon is a hub for reasonable homes of around Rs. 10 lakh to 20 Lakh. Builders and developers have a huge number of upcoming projects of affordable price, under the Government Policy of Haryana.
The Haryana Government has received about 122 applications from the developers by this September. The builders are planning to launch affordable residential projects. DLF is also keen on constructing projects in the Gurgaon region. The company, known for high-scale housing is interested in three such projects but it again withdrew two of its applications and the third one is under state government’s examination.
63 applications were received particularly in Gurgaon by the end of September, 2014 while about 16applications were filed for Sohna, an extension of Gurgaon. The first housing venture of Gurgaon was announced by Supertech, based on Noida. Raheja Developers have also spoken of its project in Sohna. Noteworthy developers like SRS, Pivotal and Ramada have planned many affordable projects in this region.
Supertech is planning an investment of Rs. 700 Crore in two of its affordable housing projects in Gurgaon. The Basera project under Supertech is there in sectors 79 and 79B of Gurgaon. There will be a lucky draw for 95% of the flats out of 1,976 flats and would be allotted to local public. Raheja builders have spoken of Krishna Housing Scheme at Sohna, Sector 14. The price of the homes will vary from a range of Rs. 15 to 23 Lakh.
Gurgaon will be known as one of the affordable housing destinations. The projects will be helpful to novice home buyers who are devoid of buying properties as a result of present price inflammation. This is what the Managing Director and Chairman of Supertech, R.K Arora thinks.
A realty expert around the Gurgaon region said that as the realty market all over is facing a downfall; many developers are resorting to affordable housing projects as they will get guaranteed profit in this field. There is a surplus demand of more than 50 million regarding affordable homes while the constructions record only 50,000 units in total. Developers are working hard to bridge the gap between demand and supply of affordable homes.
