Ahmedabad Plans City Vision in 2030

Ahmedabad is far ahead planning to visualize own city 20 years from now on. This would be successful through the event Our Cities Ourselves (OCO), this is said to be Asia’s biggest event for the first time happening in the cities around and Ahmedabad is said to be hosting this show from this week. This event mainly concentrates on two exhibitions; one of them is on the theme “Vision Ahmedabad” and the other is the” Vision for 2030″ for over 10 global cities.”
This event is said to be held for a month at Konaria Center of Arts and Amdavad ni Gufa. The cities included in this exhibition are Guangzhou, Rio De Janeiro, Johannesburg, Ahmedabad, Budapest, New York, Buenos Aires, Dar es Salaam, Jakarta and the Mexico City. Bimal Patel of Environmental Planning Collaborative heads the vision plan which is ahead to be started in few of the cities over the country. Bimal Patel reported saying that we should not follow the western implementations blindly instead of those relevant solutions can be followed to make the city infrastructure the best.
Shreya Gadepalli, regional director of Institute for Transportation and Development Policy (ITDP) reported saying that Our Cities Ourselves (OCO) is the power of evocative images to bring in the future into life for the better future of the global cities.
