Airport Express Metro Line fare to reduce in Delhi
After operating the Airport Express Metro Line for a long time since the past one year, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation last day has made a decision to reduce the level of passenger fares for up to 40 percent. The new rate of passenger fare will be levied from the 24th of July.
As stated under the revised structure the minimum fare on the corridor of airport express metro line will be reduced to Rs 20. The previous fare minimum rate was Rs 30. The maximum fare rate previously was Rs 180; this will be reduced down to a whooping decrement of Rs 100. The matter was disclosed by the Executive Director (Corporate Communications) of the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation, Anuj Dayal.
The huge reduction on the fare price has come into effect after almost a month post Union Urban Development Minister Venkaiah Naidu had asked the Managing Director of Delhi Metro Corporation, Venkaiah Naidu to try to reduce the fares and increase the frequency and linking the transport facilities on the line. This decision is surely going to welcomed by the citizens as it will both relieve the people from the high price list and also offer them with a frequently available metro service.
