All hopes on Javadekar for green clearances- projects boost
With Prakash Javadekar swearing in as the Minister of State, and also handling the esteemed positions with Information and Broadcasting, along with Environment and Forests, there are plenty of hopes by the Maharashtra pinned on him, especially on projects that haven’t seen the light of the day for a very long time. Along with Prakash Javadekar’s coming in, even the fastest growing city in Western India, Pune now has representation in the Union Cabinet after more than two decades.
Some of the stalled projects that have hopes now are;
- coastal road
- Metro III projects in Mumbai
- Metro project in Pune and Navi Mumbai Airport
Pune too has a need for clearance on projects related to its hill development, most of which have been stalled. Industrial experts opine that 1,00,000 crore worth of deals have been in the pipeline and stalled because of non-sorting out of issues with regard to environment laws.
Prakash Javadekar is of the belief that there has to be a balance between nature and commercialisation, and that is how economic growth can happen. New projects need to be supported, and without harming the natural environment around. With this being said, people now look at him with raised hopes, and especially for Pune which is a hub for IT and Auto sectors.
Will Prakash Javadekar manage to jump all obstacles and bring in the much needed relief, only time will tell!
