Allahabad residents protest against contaminated water supply

Tired of getting contaminated water in their localities, residents of Kareli, Dariyabad, Shahganj,Meerapur, Nakhas Kohna and other areas in old Allahabad protested at the district collectorate recently.
Residents allege that Jal Sansthan supplies contaminated water which is not fit for consumption.
The water that comes out is not pure and is filled with dust and sand and impurities. One of the reasons might be the water pipes are very old.
Other residents complain that water is muddy and after many complaints, the officials are yet to take any step.
