Amballoor electronic park construction being delayed
Two months after chief minister Oommen Chandy promised to speed up land acquisition for the Amballoor electronic park, the state government has not issued the order to Kerala State Industries Development Corporation (KSIDC), which has been entrusted with the task of purchasing land directly from landowners.
The government had decided to involve KSIDC in acquiring land to prevent delays caused by red tape and the Land Acquisition Act. We are ready to purchase land directly from owners. But we are still awaiting the government order in this regard, said K G Ajith Kumar, deputy general manager, KSIDC.
This is causing delay in the construction work of the Amballoor electronic park as the government has yet not given out permission to start out the operation for the acquiring the land that is needed to built this park. This project has been lying for long time and the delay that is being caused is hampering the speed of the project. The government is looking forward to speed the work by the helping the development of the park and do as needed to speed the project.
