Andhra Pradesh seeking help from Australia
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu today sought cooperation of Australia in helping the state government build infrastructure projects and strengthen roads and drainage networks.
A delegation led by Lord Mayor of Brisbane Graham Quirk met Naidu at the CM’s Camp Office where the latter explained the “huge” investment potential in the state. The Chief Minister informed the visiting team that Andhra Pradesh has abundant natural resources, a 1000 km-long coastline and other advantages, which enable the state to create wealth. Naidu said that the focus of the state government was on building basic infrastructure as well as on sectors like IT, manufacturing, pharma and most importantly, power.
The drainage and network system had been a matter of concern for the chief minister of Andhra Pradesh. They are taking serious steps against the matter. This is why the authorities have had a meeting with Australian authorities regarding how to resolve this issue. It is being expected that decisions will be taken soon. However it has not been stated as when the people are planning to start with the project.
