Apartments to be constructed by MHADA in a joint venture with builders
Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA) has planned for a joint venture with private developers to construct residential apartments in Mumbai.
MHADA took this decision, as the cost of the properties are rising beyond the reach of the common man and there is a huge difference between demand and supply of residential apartments in Mumbai.
According to the joint development policy, the minimum area of the residential society will be 2000 sq. m. MHADA will bear the cost of the construction and the developer will construct the apartments. 60 percent of these apartments will be reserved for the EWS (economically weaker section) /LIG (lower-income group) /MIG (middle-income group) categories.
