Arvind will set up 300 acres garment park
Textile conglomerate Arvind Limited, through its subsidiary Arvind Garment Park Pvt Ltd, will set up a 300 acres garment park in Gandhinagar. The group’s own Rs 125 crore garment manufacturing plant will be anchor unit of proposed garment park. It will have a capacity of capacity of nine million pieces. The apparel park is expected to be commissioned by March 2015 and is estimated to cost around Rs. 150 crore. Around 20 units can be set up within the premises.
The company has brands like Gant, Arrow, US Polo in its kitty and may roll out its own brand March 2015. It is also learnt that the company may increase its garment capacity between 50 and 70% by the next year.
