Asian Development Bank to submit report by Oct 15 for Vizag-Chennai corridor
Andhra Pradesh is soon to get two most significant industrial corridors-one is Visakhapatnam to Chennai corridor, which covers nine coastal districts and second one is Bangalore to Chennai corridor, which crosses via Hindupur, Krishnapatnam and Chittoor. AP Industries Commissioner Rajat Kumar states that these corridors are premeditated to promote growth scales in state.
Explaining importance of this corridor Kumar said, “This corridor, likely to be extended to Tuticorin on one side and Kolkata on the other later, is the most important one for AP as it covers all the ports and Chennai city,” He informed on Thursday that Asian Development Bank had been selected and employed as principal agency for the Vizag-Chennai corridor. The details reports & proposals for the same are likely to be submitted by October 15.
He also informed that Bangalore to Chennai corridor would also touch two important districts Rayalaseema and Nellore. And this makes upcoming port at Durgarajapatnam in Nellore really important for the corridor.
