Audits needed by the government across real-estate, hospitals and educational hubs

With the new government in place, there is a lot of hope for anti-corruption and stability, which means, everyone now has to be accountable for their acts. It was on Monday, keeping such views in place that the government made it loud and clear that audits across educational hubs, real-estate and hospitals are to be made mandatory in the country. This would include an order on cost records for maintenance and real-estate companies, educational institutes and hospitals would have to show their records.

Transparency is the name of the game here, and Team Modi plans to leave no sheet unchecked, with regards to the costing and prevalence of money being spent for various projects and expenses, says a source. This is a much welcomed move by all, which many look forward to as a much-needed transparent act. In doing so, the government aims at fixing prices, especially in niche areas such as hospitalization costs and treatments, housing and checks on dubious fee charges levied by various educational institutions and hubs across the nation.

The reason why such audits should be in place is to keep a check if the public were being charged fair and square or were they being fleeced, says a source. The cost records would be checked regularly and for every financial year too. The notification was loud and clear with it’s stance, failing which penalties would be applied if not followed.
