Aurangabad MP Chandrakant Khaire urges Nitin Gadkari to expedite four-laning of NH-211

Aurangabad MP Chandrakant Khaire has requested Nitin Gadkari – Union Minister of road transport and highways, shipping and rural development – to issue directions to concerned authorities to expedite the work of four-laning the Solapur-Beed-Aurangabad-Dhule National Highway 211.

The NH-211 four-laning project has been divided into three phases — the Solapur to Yedshi 100-km highway; Yedshi to Aurangabad 200km highway; and the Aurangabad to Dhule 160-km stretch.

With financial bids for the project still being received, and with 90 percent of land acquisition having been completed, Khaire has urged Gadkari to tell the concerned authorities that the land acquisition process for the four-laning of NH-211 should be expedited, so that the four-laning work can be completed as early as possible.

To discuss the issue of four-laning of NH-211, Khaire met Gadkari in New Delhi on June 20; and apprised Gadkari about “some specific requirements and issues” which need to be addressed, so that the work on the project can be speeded up.

Drawing attention to the fact that “the proposed Aurangabad by-pass is important” and the concerned authorities should expedite land acquisition for early completion, Khaire told Gadkari: “Considering the proposed Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC) coming up at Aurangabad, the speeding up of this project is essential.”
