Authorisation of colonies in NCR
Aiming to solve the problem of regularisation of unauthorised colonies in the national capital city, the Centre will prepare a draft policy on it in the next 15 days.
A concept paper will be prepared within 15 days after which Delhi government, in consultation with the Union Urban Development Ministry, would prepare an action plan on the regularisation issue, said a senior Urban Development Ministry official after a review meeting chaired by Urban Development and Housing Minister M Venkaiah Naidu here today.
Naidu reviewed various issues relating to urbanization and development of National Capital Region of Delhi with MPs from Delhi, Mayors and Chief Executives of municipal bodies including NDMC and Delhi Development Authority and senior officials of Delhi government and DMRC.
The problems that are based with the unauthorised colonies are faced mostly in all of the metropolitans. The NCR has a lot of colonies that have remained unauthorised. The authorisation of these colonies is required immediately to avoid any kind of problems that have been rising. The time will be taken to prepare the policy and the other details that would be required for the authorisation process.
