Connectivity in any city is crucial for the smooth functioning of the city and the central and state governments are taking measures to improve connectivity in the Indian cities. The Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA) has decided to speed up the project of two new bridges across the Hindon River, which will help boost connectivity between Noida, Greater Noida and Ghaziabad.

The bridges will be constructed by the Uttar Pradesh State Bridge Corporation Limited, and the cost of the projects which is estimated at Rs 110 crore, will be shared by the Noida and Greater Noida authorities. According to the GNIDA officials, all the formalities for the proposed projects have been completed, including seeking clearances from the UP irrigation department.

H K Verma the additional CEO of GNIDA mentioned that now the Tenders for the projects have to be initiated. Once the technical bid matches the expectations of the authorities, the lowest bidder will be awarded the project. The authorities are expecting that the project will be completed in a record time and solve the connectivity woes of Noida, Greater Noida and Ghaziabad. This will improve the productivity for the city as less time and energy will be wasted in commuting and more productivity can be achieved. This indirectly impacts the GDP in a positive way.
