The balcony of a second floor flat at the Tamil Nadu Housing Board apartment complex was collapsed in Manali New Town, Chennai.

One woman was killed while three other were injured in the incident.

The injured have been admitted to the Stanley Medical College Hospital.

The apartment needs to be repaired for a long time, as all the flats were constructed in 1985.

Though authorities promised to renovate the structures, but no repair maintenance work has been done so far in that apartment in Chennai.
