A sign of relief for frequent travellers out of the Bangalore city.
The Bellary Road (NH7) is soon going to be upgraded to an 18-lane autobahn which will also have a high speed rail link (HSRL) on it.
The constrcution work will be done from Hebbal flyover to Bachchalli railway gate, a total of 22.12 km stretch. It will also include the Trumpet Interchange road towards the airport.
The autobahn will be a three-lane service roads of a width of 65 metres. Some of the properties adjoining the stretch with a minimum width of 5 metres have been notified to be acquired for the work.
Many prime properties like Esteem Mall, Columbia Asia Hospital and Jakkur Airport has parted a bit of their land. Furthermore, Indian Air Force station in Yelahanka is in talks with its headquarters to get the approvals.
