Bangalore records highest mall supply in 2012: C&W
Bangalore – Bangalore has recorded the highest mall supply in India in 2012, according to reports by commercial property consultants & real estate services, Cushman & Wakefield.
Vittal Mallya Road which witnessed 58 percent appreciation in rental values and touched Rs 325 per sq ft is in the lead followed by Colaba Causeway in south Mumbai that observed 56 percent appreciation to touch Rs 700 per sq ft.
Camac Street and Gariahat in Kolkata both registered a 33% growth in rentals and Jayanagar 4th Block, 11th Main stood fourth reporting a 32% rise in rentals at Rs 330 per sqft.
Many retailers in Bangalore are wishing to rent space in Vittal Mallya Road, which is among the major landmark locations of the city. High demand and shortage of quality space supply have led to huge rental appreciation in Vittal Mallya Road.
