‘Bangladeshis’ hack MBMC website
Mumbai- The website of Mira-Bhayander Municipal Corporation (MBMC) was hacked by a group from Bangladeshis but luckily the site was put back in place.
The employees came to know about the hacking when they started working on the site. The message displayed was ” Death Note” with the sentence ‘INDIAN WEBSHIT PWNED LAME SECURITY BREACHED‘ in bold in the site’s main page with black background.
The hackers gave their personality as ‘Hackers Group of Bangladesh‘. Civic administrators said that they are not yet confirmed whether hackers really belong to Bangladesh or just to mislead by having mentioned the location as Bangladesh.
The web site provides online payment details on property tax, death and birth applications, water applications along with e-tendering information. Civic representatives explained that crucial info has not been impacted because of the hacking. A new police complaint might be signed up very soon.
