Bannerghatta Road: An upcoming residential destination

Real estate in Bannerghatta roadBannerghatta Road was earlier known as Anekal Road but later was renamed as Bannerghatta Road. The Bannerghatta Road commences from Adugodi and terminates at the Bannerghatta National Park, beyond this point it is known as Jigani-Anekal Road.

The locality has many reputed IT companies along with educational institutions. Initially the road was merely used by the tourists who travelled to the Bannerghatta National Park but after the establishment of the IT Companies like Honeywell, IBM, Accenture, Oracle Corporation and many others, the road is loaded with traffic.

The Real Estate is also booming in the locality. At present, there are many popular and contemporary residential and commercial complexes.

Connectivity:

The nearest railway station is Majestic which is around 30 kms from Bannerghatta Road and Bangalore International Airport is 60 kms approximately. Apart from this, the metro lines are under construction which would give easy access to various parts of the city. BMTC bus services are also there. The nearest bus stations are Gopalan Mall bus stand and Meenakshi Mall bus stand

Schools and Colleges:

Rajiv Gandhi Group of Institution, BGS National Public School, Vibgyor High School, Presidency School, Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore are some of the nearby schools and colleges in Bannerghatta road.

There was a rise in the sale of property in the locality which has led to a rise in average capital values along the stretch. With the upcoming metro project, this locality will be well connected with various parts of the city.

Price trends:

The price range in Jan-March 2012 was Rs 3,800 to Rs 4,000 and the price range in Jan-Mar 2013 is Rs 4,200 to Rs 4,500. In one year there was an increment of around 12 percent in property price. The rental demand has kept the locality among one of the top localities in the city. The rent of apartments in Bannerghatta Road ranges from Rs 7000 to Rs 32,000.

Civic issues:

The widening of the Bannerghatta-NICE Road stretch has been approved by the BBMP recently. The centre of the road, the road will be widened to about 22.5 metres on either side. At present, Bannerghatta Road is just about 20-22 metres along various stretches and impedes traffic flow.

The builders, developers and the residents belonging to Bannerghatta Road and Bilekahalli stretch are facing water woes. People staying in the apartments are spending thousands of rupees for water supply on daily basis.

The locality residents have no other way but to look forward for the water to be supplied regularly from BBMP
