No Comments Sub Category:Bangalore,Municipality Posted On: Apr 12, 2012

Mosquito menace has been a biggest turn off in Bangalore city.

BBMP has claimed that it had spend around Rs 2.25 crore between 2009-12 in controlling the mosquito issue.

Still, the issue has been in the limelight in the city.

According to RTI reports, chief medical officer of the civic body had spent insecticides worth Rs 48.45 lakh in 2009-10 for different 198 wards under BBMP.

However, many wards had started on with their own mosquito control programmes without the need of taking the insecticides bought by BBMP.
