BBMP to solve garbage issues
The Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) is seriously working on the sanitation issues in the city. They have wrote to the Karnataka State Pollution Control Board (KSPCB) seeking permission to dump garbage from the city over 22 acres of land over to the civic body authority.
Communities around Mandur are keeping a strict vigilance to prevent vehicles from dumping waste material there as the place is already covered with 1 ,000 tonnes of waste accumulation on city roads each day.
The land is filled with garbage from past three to four days and BBMP officials are conceded that more than 6000 tonnes of waste was rotting in the city zone. There will be a meeting held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Jagadish Shettar regarding the garbage issue of the city.
The BBMP would convince the authorities to organise 220 truck to dump the waste.
