BDA Bangalore Website showing Irrelevant Details

1 Comment Sub Category:Realty News,Uncategorized Posted On: Sep 12, 2011

Bangalore Development Authority (BDA) website had links to some overseas private property developers. BDA had not renewed its domain name on the internet. The front page of website says the domain name expired at 10.16am on September 9.

Raja Nambiar gave away 1.5 acres of land for the Peripheral Ring Road and is waiting for compensation, got the shock of his life on Saturday morning when he logged on to the BDA website. “I was shocked to see irrelevant details, not even the word ‘Bangalore’ on the BDA website. I often check the website for updates on the Peripheral Ring Road, where 1.5 acres of my land in Bidara Agrahara (near Whitefield) was acquired for road work. It’s pathetic that the civic agency has not bothered about its website,” said Nambiar.

Individuals who have been affected are; Thousands of Arkavathy site allottees, builders, farmers who have lost farm land to the BDA for infrastructure works don’t have access to information. They visit the website often and look for updates on compensation. BDA also e-auctions sites and this affect many NRIs who want to buy properties in Bangalore.

According to Ashwin Mahesh, no information on the website would be lost. “BDA has failed to keep its website alive. It shows that the BDA doesn’t care about its digital presence. It actually costs a couple of thousands of dollars to renew the registration. Why should an organization wait for reminders? It should be done proactively,” said V Ravichandar, civic analyst.

Please note that I have paid BDA tax for site details as below

    Layout — Anjanapur
    Stage 8th
    Site no. 1122

I have paid tax on line though SBI credit card for Rs 577 on 19/05/2012, but I was not able to get any reference.
But I got an sms from SBI stating Rs 577 is debited to my card.

Please help how to go about it.
    Regards
