BEST will ensure power supply in island city
The power requirements in the Sion/Mahim and Colaba/Cuffe Parade area will be ensured by BEST.
To maintain adequate supply of power in those areas, BEST has planned to purchase 300 MW power from Indiabulls Power Ltd for next 25 years.
With the number of high rising apartments in Mumbai are increasing, the demand for electricity will also increase in near future.
To assure enough supply of power, BEST also signed an agreement with a private power-generating firm for 50 MW extra for the summer peak-load in Mumbai for 40 days.
The board of BEST is expecting a huge requirement in future and they want to ensure consumers don’t face any power shortage.
