BJP-led Government have to focus on real issues to interest foreign investors
The BJP-led Government will have to go ahead apart from rhetoric statements and focus on real issues existing in our country like pragmatic land acquisition policy, lower corruption stable policy regime, less paper-work, and flexible labour laws in order to make the country a proper an attractive destinations for the investors.
The UPA Government during its 10 year reign have failed to attract foreign investors in a huge way as it did not succeed in most of the above mentioned areas, however the government had tried to come up with attractive policies from time to time.
SEZ, which has delivered results for some time have stopped attracting investments as soon as the UPA Government decided to start with the established policy after it introduced MAT and DDT. The investors, who have already invested in the zones, felt that it was a breach of trust as they had already put in their money which was based on calculations that was made with a tax-free regime in mind.
The UPA government which was also not successful in introducing labour law flexibilities in the zones could not take the States on board.
