BJP presses for implementation of DOA Act in Delhi
The Bharatiya Janata Party seems to have stand by the apartment owners of Delhi. The political party has backed the 22 lakh apartment owners in the Capital by demanding that the Delhi Government should immediately implement the provisions of the Delhi Apartment Ownership(DAO) Act, 1986.
Till now representatives of Delhi Residents’ Front, the federation of associations of apartment owners has been spearheading the campaign and now they have got the political backing, too.
Delhi BJP president Vijender Gupta criticized the government and said that it was essential to implement the DAO Act so that apartment owners living in multi-storey residential buildings are liberated from the clutches of the builders and promoters.
The BJP threatened to launch a mass agitation if the demand was not paid due attention by the ruling party.
