Bombay Dyeing will stop construction at Prabhadevi
Maharashtra Government asked the Bombay Dyeing Mill to stop the construction of a commercial complex in Prabhadevi area of Mumbai.
In the order the authority also asked them to close the eight looms which are functioning at that place.
The government asked them to stop the construction work as the group was constructing a commercial complex on the land without requisite permissions.
Labour Minister Hassan Mushrif said that the company would be asked to stop the construction work immediately. As per the development control rules, owners of defunct textile mills can develop the land commercially only after ceding a certain portion to the government.
