Builders Agitating HC on Revoking Allocation By Cidco
Builders and Realtors agitated after the Bombay High Court judgment, revoking the allocation of land in Vashi for Inorbit Mall and Four Points Hotel. The City and Industrial Development Corporation has been blamed by many real estate dealers for permitting illegal land deals to take place.
Views of Nitin Kandhari
The property dealer Nitin Kandhari questioned the reason for the government being inactive since long time in the Vashi land deal which took place a decade ago. He also added that the employment of the staffs at the hotel and mall will be at risk, if the Vashi land plots have to be given back to Cidco.
Verdict of Mumbai High Court
It has been said by HC on Friday that 31,000 sq m of land in Vashi has been intermittently allocated by Cidco to K Raheja Corp and also intended the developer to return back the vacant possession in six months time period. It was alleged by builder’s council they will appeal with the Supreme Court against the regulation.
What Manohor Shroff Says?
Manohar Shroff who is the general secretary of MCHI stated that, if the job was appropriately completed by Cidco, then the land abnormality would not have turned so big. He also added that government must carry out zero-tolerance policy in opposition to corruption.
Nalin Shah’s Suggestion
Nalin shah, a leading developer added to his part by saying that, he always suggested that before carrying out any kind of property deal, one must do extensive research in order to find out whether the land title is perfect and clear. Cidco has put up Vashi land for sale devoid of tender process in the year 2003. It was absolutely wrong and it has turned into a big problem at the present.
Sandeep Thakur’s Point of View
Also Activist Sandeep Thakur has given his views upon Vashi land issue. He said that he salutes the order passed by High court, as it will be a strong reprimand to everyone who makes deal with unlawful constructions and buildings. He also alleged that if the public officials do their work in a meticulous way, it will prevent all sorts of illegalities from happening. Subsequently, there will not be possibilities for the protestors to move courts to unwrap their unlawful activity.
