Builders will not use groundwater for construction purpose
In order to save water, members of the Confederation of Real Estate Developers Associations of India (Credai), Pune Metro have decided not to use drinking water at construction sites.
A circular has been issued to the members informing them about the water crisis resulting from insufficient rainfall along with techniques to save water by Satish Magar, president of Credai, Pune Metro.
The members from Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad have immediately discontinued the use of tap water at construction sites in response to the circular.
A campaign to save water will be undertaken by Credai to create public awareness, a statement issued by the confederation said.
