Pune civic body may waive property tax for specially abled citizens
PUNE: The civic body will abandon tax on property maintained by unfavorably-abled residents. A recommendation for this consequence has been postponed before the standing representative
committee of Pune Municipal Corporation.
The move is aimed at making life easier for differently-abled people and also spreading awareness about the issues faced by them. The exemption will cover residential and commercial properties. “The especially abled find it tough to go about their daily lives in today’s fast-paced world. Inflation and other socio-economic issues compound their troubles. The civic body should execute its responsive service and support them,” stated Yogesh Sasane, the corporator who postponed the proposal announced.
PMC administrators stated the civic administration has, in the history, elongated absolution and unique plans to occupants. “Once established by the standing organization and the usual shape, we will settle the particulars of how to complete the plan,” a senior a civic official stated.
