CAG revealed another housing scam in Mumbai

The Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) has revealed the scenario of the real estate sector in Mumbai.

In a report (yet to be tabled in the Maharashtra assembly), CAG demonstrate how the MLAs submits fraudulent affidavits and income certificate to prove that they are from lower income group, and manage to acquire properties with very less amount.

The MLAs are forming charitable trust and getting lands at concessional rates.

Some MLAs declared their monthly income are around or less than Rs 10,000 while the same persons poll affidavits showed that they have assets and cash of more than Crore.
