Chandigarh parks to be maintained by Municipal Corporation
The parks and green belts of Chandigarh seem to be on its way to be maintained again. The resident welfare associations (RWAs) of Chandigarh have shown interest in the municipal corporation‘s offer to maintain green belts and neighbourhood parks.
At present around 1,600 neighbourhood parks lie neglected, with Municipal Corporation expressing its helplessness to maintain these for lack of staff.
Sector 21 residents’ welfare association has already approached the civic body to adopt the parks in the area.
