Chemical waste dumped in Ludhiana
Ludhiana residents are irked over chemical waste being dumped on banks of a canal.
Large quantities of industrial waste were dumped on the canal banks near Rara Sahib and the culprit has not been nabbed yet. People in the southwestern part of the state drink water from this canal and use the water for irrigating their crops, too.
The matter has been taken to the authorities. Forest Department has lodged an FIR with the area police and sent them samples of the chemical for further testing.
