CIDCO gifts 64 parking plots in Mumbai to NMMC
64 parking plots have been released so far and more to follow, says a source with City and Industrial Development Corporation (Cidco, Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) couldn’t have been happier.
The decision to release plots which NMMC has been making demands for since a long time was done on Monday, with seven wards spanning each plot and a total of 143 to be given back, says a source. This is a first for City and Industrial Development Corporation (Cidco) to NMMC, says a source and happier days are to come with more to follow.
The case has been pursued for almost a year by Civic commissioner Abasaheb Jarhad, and he fought tooth and nail not allowing the issue to stay pending for a long time. At the moment, here is a list of plots he would be fighting for, which City and Industrial Development Corporation (Cidco) has to give out, namely;
- Koparkhairane with 31 plots of 33
- Nerul with 11 plots of 24
- Vashi with 9 plots against 53 which was demanded
The parking space taken back from City and Industrial Development Corporation (Cidco) would be developed into zones for two and four wheelers to be accommodated, keeping in mind the heavy demands at these areas. Forty five percent of the demand has been met so far, and City and Industrial Development Corporation (Cidco) has to abide by the 55 percent to be released.
