Citizens complain against civic body and developers
After a fire broke out on the fifth floor of a tower in Ahimsa Khand-II of Indirapuram, the Resident Welfare Association (RWA) members lodged a complaint against the Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA) and the developer of the project for not putting proper safety measures in the society.
However, the fire broke out due to short circuit which was brought under control by maintenance staff and residents. The residents said that the sample flats near the gate of the society has encroached upon the 6m space mandatory to be left vacant for fire tenders to move in.
RWA president, Dharmender Singhal, said that the civic bodies have serve so many notices to demolish the sample flats but the developers have not yet demolished them.
The builder of the project turned down to touch upon the challenge.
