Civic bodies have crossroads

Bangalore- The high court will hear petitions filed by garbage contractors objecting the modern tenders and also the public interest litigation (PIL) producing problem about the city’s ruin wreck.
The State Government and the BBMP are confused as they do not know what to do regarding garbage issue. The civic bodies are at the focal point.
The commissioner says that they will save money with the new tender, but new contractors are yet to start the work and old ones are least interested in lifting garbage. The government is totally powerless, a division bench led by Chief Justice Vikramajit Sen observed while suspending the hearing.
The Chief Justice questioned old contractors to give ideas about how to resolve the challenge. In addition to old contractors, fresh people have been unsuccessful in the bid, have challenged the new tender. The standard publicly stated their request as well as issued notice to the respondents.
