In a recent interview with exchange4media, CommonFloor.com Sumit Jain and Vinayak Warke talked about how the property portal has, over the last seven years, emerged as the one-stop shop for real estate.

Jain is the co-founder and CEO of CommonFloor.com; while Warke is the property portal’s Vice President (Marketing).

Jain – who has studied Computer Science at IIT Roorkee – co-founded CommonFloor.com back in 2007, along with Lalit Mangal and Vikas Malpani. Jain’s decision to foray into the world of entrepreneurship came after a one-year stint at Oracle. Meanwhile, Warke has more than 16 years of experience in marketing, sales and business management.

With regard to the increasing attraction of the CommonFloor platform for property transactions, Jain said during the interview that CommonFloor provides information about property; and also offers an excellent ecosystem, requisite tools, and suggestions, among several other services.

Asserting that CommonFloor’s business has grown significantly over the last few years, Jain said that, in terms of all business metrics – be it revenue, traffic or any other metrics -, CommonFloor has been recording “100 percent” growth per quarter, since the past two-and-a-half years.

Revealing that over 25 percent of CommonFloor traffic is attributable to mobile devices, Jain said: “We have a mobile app with five lakh downloads, and we have got close to 1.4 lakh people ‘liking’ our page on Facebook.”
