Construction firms’ order inflows may improve due to TN Govt’s infra drive
The ongoing infrastructure development drive of the Tamil Nadu Government will apparently help bring about an improvement in the order inflows of construction companies in the coming months.
With the project structure of the Madurai-Tuticorin industrial corridor having been approved by the Tamil Nadu Government, the order books of a number of construction and infrastructure companies will evidently start witnessing an improvement in the near future.
The construction and infrastructure firms which are projected to benefit from the Tamil Nadu Government’s infrastructure development drive will likely include CCCL, RPP Infraprojects, NCC, IVRCL, Simplex Infra, and Simplex Projects — all of which undertake industrial as well as building projects. Already, companies like CCCL and RPP Infra have successfully executed projects in the southern region.
The order books of the mentioned companies are seemingly poised for improvement, given the fact that the project involving the Madurai-Tuticorin industrial corridor includes manufacturing and industrial hubs, as well as a thermal power plant and a greenfield port.
Meanwhile, other than the Madurai-Tuticorin industrial corridor, the Tamil Nadu Government also plans to build two water desalination projects on a design-build-operate basis in Perur and Nemmeli. The potential beneficiary for the two desal plants will likely include the likes of Va Tech Wabag and IVRCL.
