Construction in prohibited place in Haryana
The Haryana Tourism Corporation has initiated a construction in the prohibited area in Surajkund Masonry Tank.
The Archaeological Survey of India has notified the area as a protected monument of the national importance.
However the Haryana tourism department kept building rooms at Surajkund Complex. These buildings will provide accommodation in Faridabad for the tourists.
The Tourism Corporation is operating a tourist complex in the premises and also constructed several room within the prohibited area.
The corporation is being ordered to stop the construction work which they have initiated for the beautification of the place.
