Construction of Hyderabad Metro Rail has started
L&T Metro Rail Limited has announced the commencement of construction schedule for piers (pillars) on the Line one from Miyapur to L.B.Nagar route.
The entire Hyderabad Metro Rail project of 71.16 km has been divided into a six stage construction schedule and piers work has begun on the 13 km long stretch between Miyapur-S.R.Nagar with a traditional ‘pooja’ by top officials of L&T.
While the monthly schedule of piers construction is said to be between 10-15, 438 such piers are to be built on the road median on this particular stretch of stage two of the project and expected to be operational by December 2014.
Continuing on national highway nine, the line passes through JNTU, Kukatpally, Balanagar, Bharatnagar, Ameerpet, Punjagutta, Khairatabad, Lakdikapul, Nampally, MGBS, Malakpet, Dilsukhnagar and will terminate at L.B Nagar.
The other two lines are at corridor two, from Jubilee Bus Station to Falaknuma, 14.78 km and 16 stations. The corridor three project will be constructed from Nagole to Shilparamam, 27.51 km and 23 stations.
