Construction of parallel RTR Flyover starts from September by Delhi and NCR
A long 11.2 km four-lane road will be opened to the public in June; built over a cost of 135 crore along the area of Noida-Great Noida expressway. This makes travelling smoother from Greater Noida to Noida and towards Delhi without any congested traffic. The road goes along the Yamuna pushta (canal) reduces traffic and connects over 12 sectors including Noida, Delhi, Faridabad and Ghaziabad.
The road connects Okhla Barrage in Kalindi Kunj with the Faridabad-Noida-Ghaziabad (FNG) expressway in Noida Sector 150 as the officials of UP irrigation department say. 20 minor roads links sectors of 94, 95, 124, 125, 127, 128, 129, 130, 131, 132, 133, 134, 134 and 168 along the expressway.
Dhron Kumar, executive engineer, UP Irrigation said that just the top bitumen coat is left to put.
The proposal was done in 2011 seeing the increase in traffic. Noida Authority Official said that the large number of IT firms, schools and offices by the expressway need an immediate alternative leading Noida, Greater Noida and Delhi. There is an underpass at Sector 135 for diversion from Greater Noida. Travelers would reach Delhi and Faridabad via Kalindi Kunj without stepping on the expressway cutting down on traffic at peak hours.
FNG is linked with a four-lane culvert being built up by the irrigation department from Sector 135 near Chhaprauli and Mangroli villages. They also plan to connect the road to a bridge across Yamuna River.
