Constructions await sanction as BDA remains headless
Bangalore Development Authority (BDA) has been dysfunctional for some months now as appointment of the head still waits.
The complaints being carried to the BDA headquarters on T Chowdaiah Road remain unanswered and even unheard as the newly appointed commissioner had been transferred as the principal secretary to the chief minister, leaving the civic agency headless.
As the new commissioner is yet to be appointed, those who come to meet the commissioner end up meeting the secretary or other officers who can’t offer solutions to their problems.
The worst part probably is that BDA layouts are awaiting sanctions and completion. Thousands of site owners who put all their savings in various BDA layouts are awaiting the civic agency’s approval to commence construction, incomplete road projects.
