Consumer bodies demand debate on VAT

No Comments Sub Category:Community,Pune,Realty News Posted On: Nov 08, 2012

Consumer bodies in Pune are demanding a debate on Value Added Tax (VAT) imposed on residential properties purchased between June 2006 and March 2012.

City builders and developers have been invited for a public debate on VAT.

As the state government is firm on the VAT issue, organisations such as Grahak Hitawardhini, Grahak Panchayat and Sajag Nagarik Manch have been selected for the debate.

The organisations have sent a joint statement to Satish Magar, president of Confederation of Real Estate Developers’ Associations of India (CREDAI) (Pune) inviting developers for the debate. The debate is expected to find a solution for the VAT issue.
