Contractors of Faridabad neglect projects
On the 24th of June at Faridabad, the developmental works within the city have stopped because of the dues of contractors hired by the Municipal Corporation of Faridabad. The dues have their expensive ranges have been held up since the January 2013. The piece of information was given away by the spokesperson for the Municipal Corporation, Faridabad Contractors Association.
It was also mentioned that it was quite difficult for the contractors to continue with their works that too at a time where there is lack of funds. He also said that the members of the association met the MCF chief engineer DR Yadav so that they could apprise him. They are also planning to meet the commissioner in a couple of days.
The spokesperson of the association also added there were quite a number of reminders which were sent to the officials who are concerned in this matter. Unfortunately, there was no response.
Giriraj Singh who happens to be the association president has mentioned that the Municipal Corporation of Faridabad has not yet made any payments for the projects which have been completed. In fact, last year a similar incident had occurred. After this, the contractors decided to go on a strike.
