Cops directed to question PMC chief about building collapse

The court has directed Sahakarnagar police to look into the Taljai building failure in September that killed 11 individuals afterJadhav, Pune city coordinator filed an FIR against Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) commissioner Mahesh Patha.
The court also asked to send a survey report about the matter if any action can be taken against the PMC commissioner.
On September 24, the four-storey under-constructing  Taljai building collapsed killing 11 persons along with injuring 11. As soon as the misfortune happened PMC’s junior electrical engineer along with inspector Vasudev Kurbet filed a complaint with Sahakarnagar police force.
The police had imprisoned ex-Congress corporator Sanjay Nande along with land owner Lahu alias Dhirendra Bapu Sawant in the case.
The PMC constructing engineer reported that they served notice on Nande for illegal development on September 1.
Jadhav’s complaint seeking action against the PMC commissioner contends that the PMC’s negligence resulted in loosing 11 lives.
