Corporation ready to pay their share if GDA settles the land payment

No Comments Sub Category:Realty News Posted On: Aug 06, 2014

Post declining several proposals that had been sent by the Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA), executive committee members of the city municipal corporation on Monday told the city authority that the corporation would pay its share towards the 9.41km metro route.

However they further stated that will pay their share only if the GDA settles the payments of its land that have been previously taken by the authority. Because the payments towards the cost of the 9.41km Dilshad Garden New Bus Stand metro link, various UP agencies had agreed to share Rs 1116 crore of the cost in the respective share.

This is being seen as a silver lining as it will help in commencing the metro route. It will help in solving the problem of traffic and also enhance the connectivity in Ghaziabad. Further discussions have not been done as on when the work will start but hopefully the first phase work will commence soon as possible. The metro route work has been kept in delay for a long period of time over the unsolved differences between the Ghaziabad Development Authority and the Municipal Corporation. But now things look clear.
