CREDAI annual property show Fairpro 2014 in Chennai

Over 20,000 properties will be showcased in the price range of Rs. 15 lakh to Rs. 7 crore, in the annual property show of Confederation of Real Estate Developers Associations of India (Credai), Chennai. Governor K. Rosaiah will inaugurate the exhibition on Friday at Chennai Trade Centre. The exhibition will showcase 250 projects of about 70 builders and promoters. The city’s growth corridors are Rajiv Gandhi Salai (Old Mamallapuram Road), East Coast Road, Grand Southern Trunk (GST) Road and Mount–Poonamallee Road. Around 130 projects are entered around them.

Sandeep Mehta, president, Credai, Tamil Nadu points out that Rs. 6 crore is spent in organising the fair and bookings of around Rs. 250 crore is expected. In 2012, bookings worth Rs. 150 crore were recording, while in 2013 they increased to Rs. 175 crore, he said.

All projects have the stamp of approval of all government agencies and the bookings at the fair are 100 per cent safe and guaranteed. Pointing out that this is the best time to invest in a new home, he says, the real estate sector is growing between 10 and 15 per cent despite worrying inflationary trends. He said that more than Rs. 100 crore worth of home loans were sanctioned to 1,043 potential investors recently at a loan mela organised by Credai.

Convener of Fairpro, S. Sivagurunathan, expects more than 20,000 people to visit the fair. People registering online can get free passes to the fair.
