CREDAI gets new national president
Shekhar Reddy has been appointed as the new national president of Confederation of Real Estate Developers Associations of India (CREDAI). It represents 9,000 developers through 128 chapters in 20 states across the country.
The CREDAI, Andhra Pradesh Chapter, congratulated Shekhar Reddy on his appointment as national president. He believes that Telangana is a non-issue for buyers and expects price hike by at least 25 percent till 2013 end.
As senior vice-president, he aggressively expanded operations by adding 58 new chapters in the past two years.
He promised to improve the investment environment in the country. He aims to focus towards affordable housing, green buildings, water harvesting and skill development among construction workers. In this regard, the realtor body has asked the government to expedite the project approval process.
It has called upon the centre government to issue guidelines to states regarding online approvals and single window system. This move will help millions of homeless people to fulfill their dream of owning a house.
CREDAI is also planning to educate its developer community to offer green buildings, water conservation and use of non-conventional energy sources.
The relator body has also suggested some amendments in the Land Acquisition and the Real Estate Regulator Authority Bills in favour of home buyers.
