CREDAI ready to cooperate with IBA
As Union Finance Minister P Chidambaram’s take on realtors seems to invite reactions from the developers. CREDAI national president Mr Lalit Kumar Jain stated that the finance minister should take immediate steps to boost to housing stock supply through special incentives to the affordable segment.
He further added that the reported figure of unsold housing stock of 500,000 across the country is unrealistic.
The body has asked member developers to start selling even at rock bottom prices since nobody would like to block his capital by sitting on unsold stock.
CREDAI has also volunteered to work with the Indian Banks Association‘s proposed committee on housing sector which was suggested by the Finance Minister.
